Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Laclede County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or running a search means that you accept them. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another use regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The resource points to Laclede County and Missouri records channels. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. We do not store official criminal records, retrieve a government file, perform an official check, or submit documents for a visitor.

The resource identifies Laclede County record custodians, including the sheriff, 26th Judicial Circuit, MSHP Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. It may also connect visitors with outside search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Use site content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass anyone
  • Violate a federal, Missouri, or local law
  • Attempt unauthorized access to a system or account
  • Use a bot, scraper, or automated collection tool on the pages
  • Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Missouri's sex offender registration provisions, RSMo 589.400 through 589.425, do not authorize use of registry information to facilitate a crime. Registry data exists for public awareness, not retaliation or vigilante action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. The site and its advertising partners do not provide tools designed for regulated screening. You may not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a housing applicant
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility
  • Decide access to a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose the FCRA regulates

A regulated check must come from an authorized official or FCRA-compliant source, not this website.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Laclede County records cannot determine how a Missouri charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement law applies to a specific person. Consult a licensed Missouri attorney for legal guidance.

6. No Warranties

The site is provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Partner search results will be complete or accurate
  • Every page will be free from errors or security flaws
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Information will always be current, complete, or correct

Charges may be filed, dismissed, closed, or expunged, and public systems may update at different times. Gaps can occur. No content here is an official statement from the Laclede County sheriff, a Missouri court, or another public body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff, court, state agency, legal aid, or outside search websites. We do not control an external site's content, availability, privacy practices, or fees. Review its terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Laclede County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of this website, its content, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from a claim, demand, or action caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be filed in a Missouri court. Chapter 610 RSMo governs access to Missouri public records, while RSMo 43.500, 43.503, and 43.506 govern the Central Repository and qualifying criminal-history reporting. Those laws do not make this private resource a government custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or end access at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms can be directed through the Contact page.
